First, I’ll start with a short introduction to AcroYoga, explaining what it is and the key roles involved: the Base, the Flyer, and the Spotter. I’ll emphasize the importance of practicing safely, ensuring everyone understands how to support and protect each other.
Next, we’ll engage in a partner warm-up. This is a series of exercises designed to build a connection between partners and prepare our bodies for the more dynamic parts of the practice. Dont worry if you are coming alone, I will switch up the groups regularly.
After warming up, we’ll dive into the foundational poses of AcroYoga. These include basic but essential poses that form the building blocks of the practice. If we have time and everyone feels comfortable, we might link these poses into a simple flow sequence.
We’ll also explore some basic headstand or handstand techniques. Don’t worry—these will be introductory exercises with plenty of assistance, ensuring that everyone can train at their own level and feel supported throughout.
This workshop is all about building trust, having fun, and learning the basics of AcroYoga in a supportive environment. I hope you leave with new skills, new friends, and a deeper appreciation for the practice.
